Light boxes - radiant advertising impact for your statements
Light boxes are indispensable when it comes to presenting messages and brands in a particularly eye-catching and professional way. Thanks to their luminosity, they skillfully accentuate your advertising and thus generate maximum visibility - both indoors and outdoors. Whether at trade fairs, in sales rooms, shop windows or on facades - light boxes are real eye-catchers and ensure that your advertising messages are remembered.
Why light boxes are so effective
The special effect of light boxes is based on the combination of lighting and appealing graphics. The uniform and bright illumination makes your advertising motifs appear more vivid, contrasting and of higher quality. The light source inside the lightbox ensures that the graphics are clearly visible even in poor lighting conditions or in the dark. This is particularly advantageous in highly frequented areas, such as shopping streets or exhibition halls, where it is important to be noticed amidst the sensory overload.
Another advantage of light boxes is their versatility. They can be individually designed to suit your specific requirements. They can be used as large-scale wall installations, free-standing room dividers, LED exhibition stands or compact advertising media – the possibilities are virtually endless. The modern design of the light boxes also blends harmoniously into any environment and gives your presentation a professional and high-quality appearance.
Versatile areas of application for light boxes
Light boxes are particularly flexible and suitable for a wide range of applications. In retail, they are often used in shop windows or sales rooms to advertise products, offers or brand messages. The lighting ensures that the presentation looks high-quality and draws customers' attention to the advertising message.
Light boxes are also a real eye-catcher at trade fairs. Large-format illuminated walls ensure that exhibition stands stand out and stand out from the crowd of exhibitors. Particularly in large exhibition halls, which are often only dimly lit, LED exhibition walls and light boxes create a bright and friendly atmosphere that attracts visitors and arouses interest.
In outdoor areas, light boxes are often used for façade advertising, signposts or as illuminated advertising boards. Thanks to modern LED technology, they are not only particularly energy-efficient, but also defy weather conditions. Your messages therefore remain visible day and night and are reliably highlighted by the luminosity.
Another area of application is public facilities such as train stations or airports, where light boxes are used as information or notice boards. Here, they score points thanks to their clear visibility and the ability to replace content quickly and easily.
LED technology: efficient and durable
Modern light boxes rely on energy-saving LED technology, which offers numerous advantages. LEDs are characterized by a particularly high luminosity, but consume significantly less energy than conventional light sources. They are environmentally friendly and cost-efficient. The service life of LEDs is also very long, meaning that the lighting works reliably for years and requires hardly any maintenance.
Another advantage of LED technology is the uniform illumination. While older systems often led to shadows or uneven brightness, LEDs ensure homogeneous light distribution that illuminates your motifs perfectly. Whether day or night - the quality of your advertising messages remains consistently high.
Individual design options
Light boxes can be designed entirely according to your wishes. They are available in various sizes, shapes and designs and can therefore be adapted to a wide range of requirements. For particularly large formats, we offer systems that can be modularly constructed and can therefore also be realized as a complete illuminated exhibition wall.
The graphic coverings are produced in our in-house print shop. Sublimation printing is usually used here, with printing on special textile slide materials that are foldable and ensure optimum light transmission. Thanks to our innovative printing machines such as the P5 TEX iSUB, the colors are particularly vibrant and bright, which further enhances the advertising impact. The motifs can be changed quickly and easily so that you can update your lightboxes with new advertising messages at any time.
In addition to classic light boxes, we also offer free-standing illuminated walls that can be flexibly positioned in the room. LED exhibition walls are particularly suitable for trade fairs or events where a mobile solution is required. Thanks to lightweight materials and simple assembly systems, these illuminated exhibition walls can be set up and dismantled quickly and transported easily.
FAQ
A lightbox is an illuminated advertising medium that makes images, text or advertising clearly visible. It consists of an aluminum frame into which a picture or advertising graphic is inserted. Behind this picture are small lights – usually modern LEDs. When the lights are switched on, the picture is illuminated from behind. This makes the colors appear stronger, clearer and particularly eye-catching.
Light boxes are available in many sizes. Small models find their place in shop windows or sales rooms. Large light boxes are often used on walls or even outdoors. Illuminated walls and LED exhibition walls are also increasingly being used on exhibition stands. They ensure that advertising or information is clearly visible even from a distance.
Frame and structure
The frame of a light box is usually made of high-quality aluminum, which is both light and robust. Aluminum profiles are ideal because they offer stability but are still easy to transport and install. Depending on the model, the profiles can be designed as narrow, almost invisible edges or deliberately appear as part of the design. The frames are designed in such a way that the lighting technology inside remains protected and the graphics can be tautly stretched and securely inserted.
Lighting technology
Modern LED technology is used inside the light boxes, which offers numerous advantages. LEDs are characterized by high energy efficiency and durability and are also particularly bright. A distinction is usually made between two lighting technologies for light boxes:
Side-illumination technology: Here, the LEDs are installed in the system frame. The light is directed from the LED modules towards the center of the graphic surface. A light box in which the LED modules are located in the frame must have a construction depth of at least 8 cm. This ensures that the lateral illumination is distributed evenly over the entire surface and that the motif appears brilliantly and homogeneously illuminated. An important aspect of this design is that the light box must always be closed on both sides. Without a closed back, the light would escape uncontrollably and the illumination of the front would be uneven.
Backlight technology: With this method, the LEDs are arranged directly behind the graphic surface. The light is therefore cast onto the motif from behind, resulting in particularly intense and homogeneous illumination. This technology is ideal for large-scale light boxes and ensures impressive brightness.
A major advantage of LED technology is the uniformity of the lighting. In the past, older light sources such as neon tubes often led to uneven light distribution or shadows, but modern LEDs ensure homogeneous illumination over the entire surface, without annoying light spots or dark areas. LEDs are also low-maintenance, generate hardly any heat and offer a service life of up to 50,000 hours, which significantly reduces operating costs.
Customized graphic prints
Special materials are used for the graphic surfaces to ensure that the light is shown to its best advantage. In most cases, translucent textile prints or backlit films are used. These materials are translucent and ensure that the light shines through the graphic evenly, making colors and contrasts appear particularly strong and bright. Printing is carried out in high-resolution quality so that even the smallest details are displayed in razor-sharp detail.
With textile-based systems, the graphic is stretched into the frame using a silicone flat welt, which ensures a wrinkle-free and taut surface. The graphics can be replaced quickly and easily - a major advantage for companies that regularly want to present new motifs or advertising messages.
Areas of application and flexibility
Thanks to the combination of high-quality technology and attractive design, lightboxes are suitable for a wide range of applications. They can be realized in almost any size and shape and can be individually adapted to the requirements of the location. From small wall displays and free-standing light boxes to large illuminated walls, light boxes can be used flexibly.
Indoor area: In shop windows, offices, sales rooms or at trade fairs, light boxes create a high level of visual appeal and draw attention to brand messages, offers or special promotions. Their uniform illumination and modern appearance give them a particularly high-quality and professional look.
Outdoor area: Weatherproof light boxes with robust frames and waterproof LEDs are ideal for outdoor advertising, facades or signposts. Advertising messages remain clear and visible even in the dark or in poor visibility conditions.
Mobile applications: For trade fairs or events, there are easily transportable, free-standing illuminated walls or LED exhibition walls that can be set up and taken down quickly and positioned flexibly in the room.
Energy efficiency and sustainability
Thanks to the use of LEDs, light boxes are not only powerful but also particularly energy-efficient. Compared to conventional fluorescent tubes, LEDs consume significantly less energy, which reduces operating costs in the long term and protects the environment. The low heat generation also ensures that the lighting remains safe and durable.
Light boxes are available in numerous standard sizes, but can also be made to measure. This flexibility allows light boxes to be optimally adapted to the respective requirements and spatial conditions.
Small formats are particularly versatile and are ideal for use in shop windows, sales rooms or on counters. They draw the customer's attention to products, promotions or advertising messages without taking up too much space. Thanks to their compact design, they also fit into smaller spaces and ensure a high-quality and eye-catching presentation.
Large-format light boxes are perfect for making messages or brands visible from a greater distance. Our light boxes are mainly used indoors, for example as a wall installation in a shopping center, in a company or hotel lobby or in showrooms. Illuminated walls and LED exhibition walls also play an important role at trade fairs or events, as they provide maximum visibility as large presentation areas and enable exhibitors to stand out effectively from the competition.
A major advantage of modern light box systems is their modular design. This makes it possible to flexibly connect several individual light boxes together to create complete illuminated walls. These illuminated walls offer an impressive visual impact and can be individually adapted to the available space or special design ideas. Thanks to the modular principle, it is possible to flexibly design the size and shape of the illuminated wall or light box and expand or rearrange it as required. This is particularly practical for exhibition stands or larger installations in salesrooms, where requirements often vary.
Thanks to the combination of standard formats, custom-made products and modular solutions, light boxes are extremely versatile and can be adapted to practically any situation. They offer the opportunity to present advertising messages, brand logos or information in the best possible way - regardless of whether the location is small, large, indoors or outdoors.
Depending on the design of the light box, there are different methods for inserting the graphics or motifs:
Fabric systems: In light boxes with fabric frames, the print, usually a textile print, is provided with a so-called flat piping (a narrow rubber strip). The flat piping is sewn along the edges of the print and then pressed into the grooves provided in the aluminum frame. This process guarantees that the graphic sits tightly and without creases in the frame. Replacement is particularly easy, as the old print can simply be removed and the new one inserted within a few minutes – without tools or special previous knowledge.
Folding frame systems: In classic light boxes with snap frames, which are often used for smaller formats, the graphic is printed on translucent film. The frame construction consists of movable, hinged aluminum strips. To change the graphic, the strips are simply opened, the old graphic removed and the new film inserted. The frame is then closed again, holding the graphic securely in place. This system is particularly practical for frequently changing motifs, for example in shop windows or for seasonal advertising campaigns.
Regardless of the system, the graphics can be replaced quickly and easily. A major advantage of modern light boxes is that no special tools are required. This enables a high degree of flexibility, especially for last-minute changes or new campaigns. Companies can update their lightboxes at any time and thus adapt their advertising or information to new circumstances.
Light boxes are extremely durable advertising media, especially models based on LED technology. LEDs have a service life of up to 50,000 hours, meaning that they will function reliably for many years. As LEDs also generate hardly any heat, the risk of damage or failure is low. Maintenance is usually limited to cleaning the surfaces and replacing the graphics if necessary. The frames and materials of high-quality light boxes are also manufactured in such a way that they are stable and weather-resistant, which guarantees a long service life.
