Schloss Bad Arolsen / Martina Wolf

With the journey to Arolsen we present you an exhibition project that interrupts familiar routines in several respects. On the one hand, after the extremely successful two decades of the ongoing scholarship program of the Hessian Cultural Foundation, current work will be presented not only by current scholarship holders but also by former scholarship holders. The photo and video artists Laura J. Padgett and Martina Wolf open the new format. A likewise not usual topic has the work project, which the Hessische culture foundation and the museum Bad Arolsen organize together. After numerous promotions of collection additions and exhibitions on classicism, the museum, the museum association and the foundation together for the first time arrange an exhibition of contemporary art.

For this new, contemporary exhibition project, MARTINCOLOR, together with the artists, was looking for different ways of implementation. Image panels were produced on various carrier plates, which were directly printed using UV printing. Due to the different material properties of the carrier plates special features of the recording technology came into their own.

In addition to direct printing, MARTINCOLOR also printed and cut transparent and color effect foils that were applied to the historic windows of the exhibition venue.
