European Central Bank

In the 1920s, Martin Elsaesser designed the Grossmarkthalle during his time as city construction director in Frankfurt am Main. The building, which was built between 1926 and 1928, is one of its most important buildings. In 2010, the reconstruction of the historic Grossmarkthalle began as the central seat of the European Central Bank, and in 2014 it moved to the new premises. In the entrance area, pictures should remind of the history of the building and the architect Martin Elsässer. For this purpose, the Martin-Elsässer Foundation worked closely with MARTINCOLOR. Large window coverings were produced and installed with historical pictures and explanatory labels. The installation on site was carried out by MARTINCOLOR.
